Rainbow Dove – A Comparison

This post is in response to a comment asking to see the older version of Rainbow Dove I stitched before I knew I was starting NeedlePrayer together with this latest version.  Here they are, and I thank rhekelley for asking for this post, as I think they provide an interesting contrast illustrating the difference thread choice and fancy stitching can make to the same basic design.

First, the original piece, stitched with DMC cotton floss and flat gold metallic thread.  The fuzzy looking bit in the right hand corner is where I used photo retouching to blank out the name of the recipient.

Prayer: Father, please help us to grow in your work, and help us and those we pray for to walk ever closer to You.
